Fatima Latif

I completed my MSci in Biochemistry in 2025 at the University of Manchester, which included a 9-month final-year research project working in Prof. Jeremy Derrick’s lab. Here my research focused on the engineering of MHC class II proteins to develop immunological tools for analysing antigen-specific T cells. Shortly after, I began my PhD within the Lovelock lab and have since been investigating prokaryotic Argonaute proteins (pAgos) and their potential use in synthesising therapeutic oligonucleotides. In my free time I enjoy travelling, doing crafts, and going to the cinema/theatre.
